Add text to a photo or image online without Photoshop. Create captions, quotes, headlines, memes, and branded text overlays in your browser for social posts, blog graphics, ecommerce visuals, and ads.
Pixelixe is an online text editor for images. Use it when you need to add a title to a blog image, a quote to a photo, a caption to a social media post, a meme-style message, or a short promotional line on top of a product visual without opening complex desktop software.
If you need a workflow focused on captions, quote cards, or ready-made social media images, Pixelixe also provides more targeted pages and presets for those use cases.
Drag and drop your image into Pixelixe Studio, or open an existing design if you already have a social post, banner or blog visual in progress.
Add a headline, quote or caption, then fine-tune the style with font, color, line height, letter spacing, opacity and other text settings in the editor.
Download your finished image as PNG or JPEG for publishing, or export HTML when you need a reusable design format for advanced workflows.
Start by opening Pixelixe Studio and drop your photo into the upload area, or browse for a file from your computer. Once the image opens in the editor, you can replace it anytime from the left menu if you want to test another background, product photo or social media visual.
To swap the image later, open the Background panel, choose Upload Yours, then drag and drop a new file. This makes it easy to reuse the same text style across several photos while keeping the layout consistent.
Once your image is ready, open the Texts tab in the left panel and click Add text. A text layer will appear on the canvas immediately. Double click to edit the words, or select the layer once to open the text settings panel and refine the typography on the right side of the screen.
Pixelixe lets you control font choice, size, color, opacity, line height, letter spacing, shadow and more. This is useful for short captions, bold headlines, quote cards, announcement graphics and other text-on-image formats where readability matters.

When the text placement and styling look right, click the Download button at the top right of the editor. You can export the finished design as PNG or JPEG for publishing, and HTML is also available for advanced users on supported plans.
That means you can quickly create a single image with text for social media, or move into more repeatable design workflows when you need the same visual adapted across multiple formats.
This workflow is useful for much more than simple captions. Most teams use Pixelixe to create recurring text-on-image assets that need to look clean, readable and on-brand.
Turn photos into quote cards, meme-style images, testimonial visuals, event announcements, and image captions for social media and newsletters.
Add headlines or supporting copy to blog images, featured images, article thumbnails and educational graphics for content marketing.
Create simple ad creatives, ecommerce promotions, sales banners and branded image posts without opening a full desktop design tool.
Pixelixe is not limited to one-by-one editing. Use templates, spreadsheets, and API workflows when you need to add recurring quotes, captions, headlines, or promotional copy to many images automatically.
Use Pixelixe Studio directly in your browser. Upload a photo, add a text layer, style it visually, then export the finished image as PNG or JPEG. You can test the workflow without creating an account.
